Premiile MTV 2004

Ceremonia de decernare a premiilor MTV 2004 a avut loc la Miami in cadrul unui spectacol grandios. Trupa hip-hop Outkast a primit patru trofee MTV pentru videoclipurile de anul acesta.

Duo-ul Outkast a obtinut premiul MTV pentru cel mai bun videoclip al anului si cel mai bun videoclip hip-hop.

Clipul piesei “Hey Ya!” a obtinut alte doua premii, pentru cele mai bune efecte speciale si cel mai bun montaj.

Intre castigatori se mai numara rapperul Jay-Z, care a primit si el patru trofee, Usher- doua si formatia No Doubt, tot cu doua premii.

Trupa britanica The Darkness nu a primit nici un trofeu MTV, desi fusese nominalizata la cel mai bun debut si cel mai bun videoclip rock pentru piesa “I Believe In A Thing Called Love”.

Rapperul Jay-Z a fost nominalizat la sase categorii pentru videoclipul piesei “99 Problems”-un film dur, alb-negru, despre uciderea unui rapper.

El a obtinut, de altfel, premiul pentru cel mai bun videoclip rap.

Au mai primit premii la ceremonia MTV trupa rap Black Eyed Peas si Alicia Keys, care a tinut un mini-spectacol in duet cu Stevie Wonder si Lenny Kravitz.
